There is no good time to get opened up... especially down below.... This is the 2nd time in two weeks, Same Room, same incompetent nurse staff as before...
"we've got to go in deeper this time" those are not words you don't ever want to hear your doctor say, especially when he's talking about your ass!
So what happened? Well they opened me up to remove an internal abscess between my tail bone and rectum ... then let that drain and heal, two weeks went by, and all seemed to be going well until about 4 days ago... same pains and pressures started back again, same spot as before....at the 2 week follow-up with the surgeon, he said "we tried to keep it small, but we're gonna have to go big!" Oh Snap! an hour later i was laying in the exact same hospital bed i was in 2 weeks to the day...
So now the recovery is going to be a little slower than the first go 'round.
Great all of this... while 1 week out from organizing & hosting the Downhill Race at Paris Mt. this is going to be interesting... my participation now looks limited..

Got an email from my personal hero, Mike Mooney.
Michael's wanting to Race the Paris DH on his new big bike. Hell yeah!!! you should've seen him at Icycle flying on his tall bike, and was 10-11 seconds off the winning time... granted Icycle is not a tough course to race, but on a tall bike that is pretty fuggin' impressive.
Michael's the guy who went for the guinness world records with the 40 ft. tall bike... He's like a traveling bike circus, Big bikes, freak bikes, Bike jousting... you name it he does it. here's a video of Mike bombing down Greens lick - Sweet!
