Giving Up Bike Porn for Lent

Yeah, I figured that could be my excuse to not go to Indy for the North American Handmade Bicycle Show this weekend! Was planning on heading up , but just too much going on. Now i'm not giving up Bikes or Porn, just "Bike Porn" you know bikes humping bikes, and pretty photos from this years show tempting me... Of course the wife's glad i'm not heading up, that was easily a saving of about $4K-$7K in the purchase of a show bike.

I'm currently getting my shit together, and preparing for a wet riding weekend. Tonight we're headed to FATS (near Augusta) to camp out in the rain, Tomorrow is SORBA Board of Directors Meeting, then afterwards head over to Modoc & and hit Steven's Creek Turkey & Wine. Yeah they're not FATS but fun none the less.

Sunday's forecast is calling for snow, so this should be interesting.

Hump Day - Ash Wednesday all downhill from here.

Man... busy couple of weeks, sure glad i'm not sick anymore. Dayum that sucked thank god for antibiotics ! and a doc who loves to write prescriptions.

GearHeads logo and event poster ; Endless logo revamp & Banner Art ; 2wheelfreaks art + T-shirt & Jersey art ; PTBA's Letterhead art ; Paris Mt DH (Yes a Date is coming soon!) looks like Oct 17 - Just waiting on the Park's approval for a Saturday Race; Friends of Paris Day; Punker's day job web splash & business cards , Bikeville maps, trying to work on StumpJump logo & way too much race promotions just are not my thing.... i like just being the art & photos.

then we spent way too much time on the Kids Science Fair project "Invention Convention" his concept? the Forpoon (isn't that what we all do it for?) Yes, the Forpoon the Fork/Spoon that gonna give the Spork a run for it's money.

on top of all that .... last night we had to complete is Social Studies "religion project" what we referred to as "Buddah in a box" He did a great job. future graphic designer? maybe not :rolleyes: but we had fun with these.

Speaking of fun here are the pix from the Big group ride up in Sparkleburg. Big H and i spent must of our Ride on the Palemetto Trail while we crossed paths with the rest of the gang who were getting guided tours of the bootleg sections of Dairy Ridge! thanks to everyone who came out for the fun.... I've said it before, say it again "there is nothing better in the world than riding with your kid!" Funny he kept saying " we need to do this more!" I told him "anytime you wanna ride, we'll go! as long as home works done" OMG i've become my parents. Nah i'm cooler! :p

tomorrow More Regular Job and then start need to get the bike and camping gear together for FATS this weekend & SORBA Board of Directors meeting....hopefully the rain will hold off. If not we'll hit all the "old usual suspects" Modoc Trail, Turkey & Wine, Mistletoe
