Yeah, yesterday had to appear in Court as a witness against the crackhead down the street, her 3 dogs had attacked a woman and her dog on a leash back in April... this is like the 5th or 6th attack, third or fourth time in court because of the dogs... You know i hate it the dogs will end up being put down, but damn it if you can't control your animals you don't deserve to have'em.

After court got my bike and gear and went over to Paris, was gonna hit the WNDC at DuPont, but i was running late and Paris was so much closer. Great night for a ride, cool breeze, mild temps, rhododendron's in bloom, everything bright green, late afternoon golden light... yeah it was fun.

Well the original plan was to go hit the Tuesday night "Not so Drunk Club ride" out at Paris Mt., but as i was getting stuff together to head out, the wife said "Hey let's go hit the Swamp Rabbit" Decisions, Decisions....



"Okay let's do it." so family night out was riding open sections of da Wabbit...  

didn't take the camera, wishing now that i had, there were some very cool shot potentials with the setting sun. next time i'll do better.

Bikeville Saturday

This past Saturday was Bikeville, UpstateSORBA, the Spinners and The Great Escape pulling together and hosting a rider skills clinic downtown Greenville's Cleveland Park as part of Bikeville's Bike Month Celebration. It was pouring down rain when i got there to set up, thoughts of calling it off crossed my mind more then once, is anyone gonna show? volunteers? anyone?

Thanks to Greg, Liz, Ric Ramos, Debbie, for helping out and to all the people that came out to participate. it was cool we had little kids, medium sized kids and big kids (Adults) playing on the stunts, and we did 4 group trail rides taking folks on the three sections of natural surface trails there at Cleveland Park, No body was hurt and the rain let up around noon and from noon to 2pm was like being in a pressure cooker...dang it was hot & muggy, but still managed to have fun, it's cool to watch little kids on the stunts, they were hitting the Teeter-Totter non stop... It was fun

rode home to find the neighborhood full of City Police cars, DSS, and Animal Control... More activity at the Crazy Lady's house two doors down... 

Seem's she was hauled to jail for DUI.  She claims she was trying to back out of her driveway, police say she thought she had the car in reverse to pull out into the street, floored it and instead of going back , she plowed forward through her fence into the backyard crashing the car into a tree! 

Nice...   yeah, this sort of thing is a weekly occurrence 'round here.  it's either her, or one of her homeless bums getting picked up,  drunken knock out dragout fights, DEA raids,  high school beer parties, out of control bon fires, dog attacks (her loose pitbulls attacking people on the street & sidewalks)

Man i hate getting around in Asheville,

 i get turned around every time!

yesterday after having a late start with a pukin' Dog

and having to pick up my new specs (i can  finaly see again).  

Then it was off to meet w/ Kevin & Shelly with SEX  in Asheville.  It was funny that i seem to run into more people i know in Asheville then i do in my own town of Greenville.  My buddy MikeR is now working with Kevin, then in walks my buddy Malcolm that i haven't seen in over a year, and Steve who will be my Dr. Frankenbike  here soon.  After SEX business was done,  it was me driving around A'ville trying to find Eric's house. 

Man oh man i saw several spots in town at least five times, no idea how many time i crossed that damn river... 

Finally got to my destination  

from there was a hop skip and a jump to Bent Creek to get in a kickass ride.

Got to have a Mother for me

This Mothers day weekend is StumpJump XC State Championship Race in Sparkleburg.

thanks to all my friends who helped in Sponsoring this event, it was kind of scary stepping up and saying "yeah i'll try to get some sponsors for this thing", and getting local folks to step up especially in this shitty economy... you guys rock. Hopefully the race will be a huge success.

The other day i received my new Keen Commuter SPD sandals from REI...  Man, i just can't win for losing this week... I ordered a 10.5 thinking well my regular keen's are a 10.5  why wouldn't these be the same?  normally with shoes i have to get an 11 or 11.5 depending on the shoe because i have a fatass wide foot.  The Commuter is way too narrow, more than a 1/2 inch shorter, WTF?    

both are a men's 10.5

if you're looking into getting a pair i highly recommend going up a size.
