Yeah, i was putting together the Paris Mt. Downhill website and loading photos on the results page for last year's race....  and every time i see this photo i laugh!  

gotta love it...  "XC dude on a Oreba 29er wins the Hardtail class".  the expressions of second and third riders is Priceless...   Yeah Robert didn't even take the Shuttle ride to the top for either run, and killed it coming down the mountain!

this is going to be a kickass course!  major props to Mueller & Mike and the ApState gang who've been diggin' there at Hawknest Ski Resort in North Carolina.  Looks super sweet!

the first “Dirty Bird DH” race will take place this August 22-23. The track is now finished and promises to be one of the most fun and technically challenging courses in the Southeast this race season. Packed with jumps, berms, jumps into berms, whoops, off camber sections, roots, and rocks, the course is going to take a lot to get down in a winning time! The track has been built so that most can ride down it on any decent mountain bike, but a dh bike will be best. We hope that everyone can come out to this event and enjoy the racing and the atmosphere that will be on the mountain this August. More info will be available closer to race time but for now:

• There will be a shuttle system provided
  
• There will be Pro qualifying Saturday afternoon
  
• It will NOT be USAC sanctioned

Independence Weekend re-cap

went out to Furman for the 4th music celebration...

then Saturday hit the market in the morning then watch a bit of the Tour de France, then grabbed the bike and headed to Pisgah.... This was my first real ride in over a month....  Solo Suffer-Fest,  Hot, Humid, no Breeze, Dusty gravel roads,  North Mills area is such a great spot... 

Trace Ridge is being destroy by horses... the upper sections are a mess...  still a great DH,  

then after that hit the neverending road to Fletcher Creek Trail,  nearly ran out of light climbing back to the Trace Parking Area... then it was back to Greenville to meet up with the family for cookout & fireworks Downtown.   Oh Snap!  Cops every where, trying to catch the DUI's   and i got snagged for excessive speed.  

 damn that sucks ,  six years w/o a ticket....  $186 and 4 points  & Verified by Laser no less

New art for ORAMM

been working on a new look for the Mad Bunny of the Off -Road Assault on Mt. Mitchell, this is the 10th anniversary so Todd wanted to change it up a little.  I took one of Shepard Fairey's  poster designs and changed it up for ORAMM... that guy has some great  stuff 

Yeah, I'm still working on the back art...
