Heartbreaker livin' up to it's name this year.

Cancelled again, too much snow on the trails. What a freaky winter in the 17 years we've lived here this is by far the wettest/snowiest winter ever. we had sleet last night before switching back to rain, higher elevations more snow.

Speakin' of Cancelled due to weather the Pisgah36 has been rescheduled for April 2-3

which wont be so Horrible, though we had a Spring Pisgah Gathering 5 or 6 years ago on an April 1st weekend and it snowed like a mothaF'er with 50 mph winds, all through the night trees were coming down left and right... Hopefully everything will be nice and clear...

This Saturday is the Clemson Downhill Race. if you're not doing anything head out and race, or at least go out and make some noise!

and it was perfect! had a great ride this afternoon at Paris Mountain... Temps in the mid 50's, nothing but blue sky and sun.

there was just a little bit of snow ...

a couple of muddy sections, but overall was in great shape

talking with Shawn the Ranger, he was telling me about all the folks from North Carolina coming down to hit Paris. Sunday that place will be a madhouse.

Not much going on today, trying my best to get all of my tax info for last year, I hate the amount of taxes i have to pay as a self employed / small business owner... it's going to be another year of getting gang raped by the IRS! yay can't wait...

Tonight the wife and i are headed to see the Broadway musical Wicked that is playin' at the Peace Center this month, heard good things... should be interesting

btw if you haven't heard looks like the Heartbreaker Super D is Postponed to the end of the month, they're calling for more snow today. More here in the upstate than in the mountains. what a wild winter this has been. Saw a post on Ridemonkey where Jut says Feb 28th is the new date.

my plan for the weekend is getting my first ride in a long long time (august?) it'll somewhere local, either tomorrow at Issaqueena or Sunday at Paris... super stoked!

Note those are obviously older pictures when things were warm and green.... Anyways Went to to the Doc Monday and the news was finally good, don't have to go back to see him till mid- April, Everything is healing nicely...My ass is A-OK ...and here it is Wednesday, no Thursday and i haven't even had the chance to even look at my bike... the trails are mush anyways with all of the recent rain and snow. One thing i've got to do is change out saddles, the Doc doesn't want me using the Brooks for a while...

He said something with some "Cush" would better on the taint than the old brick. I like my Brooks, but i'll give it a rest for a little while.

Lately I've been running the shortbus shuttle service for the kid for his Lacrosse practice(s) every day of the week. They had the Scrimmage Jamboree out at Clemson; which was cold as shiz.

Little dude is #16 and the smallest kid on the team... but he kicks ass... and that's all that matters.

I've been Supa Busy with a ton of art, Pisgah Productions (PMBAR & P36), StumpJump and ORAMM, GROM Racing, Sycamore, SEX (yes mom i'm working for sex), Number plates for the Clemson DH, even got some pix in Mountain Bike Action (thanks Wes) hopefully they'll make the print issue, and keeping my fingers crossed for some of my Pix from the Paris DH race are going to be in the next Decline Magazine...they're doing a story on East Coast Downhill Racing.

It's feast or famine in the art biz, and knock on wood it's been a steady flow of work... now if i can just get clients to pony up what they owe...

Our SORBA chapter is moving right along, new leadership, everything is upbeat and we had our largest meeting ever last Thursday 38+ people... Very Cool!

I know times are tight, but if you're looking for somewhere to throw some tax free dollars, throw'em our way! Thanks again to my Brevard brethren WesD & Herndon for allowing me to be apart of the team that put's together the most kickass race of the preseason & season... That bitch mother nature aint got nothing on us. good to see old faces and hate it that everyone who bailed because ...of the bad roads, snow and icy conditions, vaginal issues....... Next year bigger, badder, colder! more beer! Congrats to my Homies in the WNC Wednesday Night Drunk Club ....Podium bitches! 2nd & 3rd in Singlespeed, 4th expert Night DH, 2nd Hardass Class (rigid) Night DH... way to hit it boys... Congrats to DK & his lovely bride Diane they hit the justice of the peace, Then hittin' the Icycle to celebrate their honeymoon @ our cabin .. Actually Chewie and i had the honeymoon suite.... with midget bunk beds...i got the top, we did mega stress test on that whole set up....H'core man, thought for sure my fat ass was gonna come crashing down upon J. in the middle of the night. Good times, good times....who knew there were hidden cameras in our cabin?
