been a while since i had been up to Pisgah, so Friday i grabbed the bike, then over to BeatGraphic's to help Kev pack up all of the shirts for SEX (
Suspension Experts)

then to drop off the printed goodies in Asheville. Good seeing MikeR and Shelley, sorry to hear about your dad Kevin.
Then from there it was down to Brevard to meet with Steve, and shoot some photos of his latest build.
man his bikes are sweet!
Then over to Hit Black mountain before losing daylight. Lower Black and Thrift Cove are both in the process of a facelift, in an effort to fix some of the water issues and damage. There has been a shitstorm of complaints on the
MTBR forum
HERE .
Good Seeing you WesD (been a while)
To tell you the truth; i rather enjoyed the work done to the trail, yeah there needs to be some finishing work done to clean up some spots, but i think the work was top notch. Sure there are some muddy spots, but i think that is to be expected; since it's rained nearly everyday for a month. I guess haters and just going to hate regardless... I had a blast coming down Black Mtn. the upper section of Thrift had just been worked on and was a little soft.
Got back from my ride and seems the Hoop Fairy left me a set of chrome Salsa Delgado's. thanks Hoop Fairy!
Saturday was spent in the back doing yard work, fuggin weeds... rain forced me inside so it was back to work.
Sunday i took a break from the grind and went out to enjoy the heat out at Paris Mountain... mid nineties, no breeze, enough humidity to just add to the suffering...
decided to do some exploring around the backside of the park (north) and to check on the work being done at the Buckhorn Lake.
The park is redoing the old Cabins and Bathhouse. This place is awesome and i can't wait to organize some kind of bike event here soon.
oh yeah, my condolences to Broussard for the loss of
his bike... somewhere between Pisgah and Tryon (45 miles) his bike came off of the car
(without him noticing it) ... Man i would be sick to death... best of luck Zack, hope it turns up soon (and in good shape), hopefully if someone does find it, it'll hit one of the local shops.
back to it!
