Spreadin' the Christmas Shine

Nothing like the gift that keeps on giving....

Moonshine

This weekend was our neighborhood Christmas party, and i'm still feeling the effects of the a keg of Foothills Hoppyum, too many cups of Hoboken Hooch, and over abundance of Shine. Any time our neighborhood throws a party, it's a rip roaring good time with too many folks that love to drink (a lot)... can hardly wait till New Years Eve ( which is our 21st wedding anniversary ) good times, good times.. time flies when you're having fun.

I kind of wish i had done this...

I'm sure i wouldn't have wasted a Sunday with a hangover.

back to the magic...

More Blues...

Icycle 2011 has been Cancelled! (the Horror!)

Herndon Posted up on RideMonkey :

It's been a great bunch of years but due to logistics the Icycle will not be happening this year. A big thanks to all of you that have supported the event for so many years.

Yep, That sucks, but I totally understand! it is a huge undertaking to plan, organize, pull off an event . Here's hoping that 2012 sees the Return of Icycle. (fingers crossed)

Icycle-DH

trying to knockout a new layout for Icycle 2011... think i got it.

Icycle-XC

yeah Broussard is the new poster child...
yep; for the price of a cup of coffee a day, you could feed his drinking problem...

Icycle's old site JandWEvents.com new website coming soon!

Charles, still working on your stuff as well! got some sample roughs coming your way soon (very soon).

It has been a really freakin' weird year (workwise)... been slow as hell when it's normally balls to the wall busy.... between the holidays is typically my down time .... and it's has been crazy busy. So RedHouse, Sycamore, PisgahProductions, GROM, Assault on the Carolinas, BlueRidge Adventures bear with me...will get your projects in works ASAP!

Major props to FeralMinds (Joe & Jeremiah) for taking my art, and making the globalbike website cool! I hope they're happy with it! in the process of getting you guys more work!

Tis the Season

DSC_0897

To be out of focus...
sorry for the lack of posting here lately, juggling real work ( you want fries with that?) and a dozen + side projects i can't seem to get done at night; throw in a mix of little family obligations, then some high school and indoor lacrosse w/ the kid, and it all adds up to zero free time or ride time.

Good to have my Bro-in-law's oldest son Ken home (visiting) from Texas for my wife's B-day; he's home after 2 tours in Iraq, hopefully is not heading to Afghanistan.

PMBAR-2011-header

Sunday was spent at Paris Mountain flagging and GPS plotting the reroute we are proposing to SCPRT, Friends of Paris and Hincapie Sports for support. The reroute is on the Downhill section of the Sulphur Springs tr.

Paris_SS-Reroute2010

Shrimper had flagged a route back in March, so Sunday i had to plot it so we had something on paper to get the process going. it's going to cool if the Park does decide to let it proceed... though talking with a few riders who were on the downhill, most were sayin' i like it the way it is.... i know there will be people bitchin' about. Right now it's an eroded mess; a fall line trail that drops more than 600 feet of elevation of in less than a half mile that only a small handful of people can ride it. The goal is to have a trail that is still a fun and challenging downhill (Kanuga like), but is also climbable uphill getting riders off the road to the top. Right now the trail is doing nothing but dumping washed out sediment into the stream. The berms and turns we built for the past two DH races. are all blown out from erosion. the new trail will cross the existing trail and our hope is we could block off the gnarly sections and then re-open the gnar for a race event. We'll See

yep need to take lessons from my dog.... and just chill by the fire

SC Superchickens

I am Not a SC Gamecocks fan

My wife's family is a house divided with Clemson Tigers and SC Gamecocks. I'm a Hoosier (daddy?). I like pulling for the underdog in any "Big Game" situation so in tomorrows game. #1 Undefeated Auburn vs. the Gamecock for the SEC conf. title. Should be interesting game no doubt.... much to my wife's displeasure i'm pulling for the cocks

plus you gotta love it when hot college cheerlearders are yelling "Go Cocks!"
