Had a Great weekend. Saturday was the neighborhood party; always a good time

then Sunday was more Kids and More Bikes. CYMBL (Carolina Youth Mountain Bike League) Race #1 Falling Creek Camp, Tuxedo, NC

The kid had his first ever mountain bike race. it was cool as shit to watch him kickass (so Proud!) . It wasn't an easy course either,

Harrison started back of the pack, made his way up the field to 3rd and sat on Shrimper's youngin' Henry's wheel ( who was in 2nd position the whole race). Sadly on the fourth lap Harrison pinch flatted on the upper ridgeline of the course... but thanks to someone at the top who had a pump and gave Harrison enough air to make it down to the finish line. The kid who had been in fourth most of the race took 2nd , because Henry crashed on the last lap. Harrison took 4th.

Healing vibes going out to my dad who was just released from a weekend stay in the Hospital with some heart issues. Hopefully we get that worked out.

more healing vibes going out going out to Cook who got his ass handed to him by the Squirrel Gap Trail in Pisgah even had his shorts ripped off him as he tumbling down the mountain, ended up having to use his shirt as a loin cloth and hike out 6 miles to meet EMS ouch... Heal up David!

Saturday was Good day up at Croft State Natural Area for some Southside Loop trail work for Jenna and her upcoming StumpJump Race...

Trails are in awesome shape, i on the other hand am not in shape, but it felt good to be on the bike.

then back to pick up tools and hike the race course. Thanks Chip i needed that!
